Dear Fellow Texas Democrat,

Although recent elections have been tough for Democrats both nationwide and here in Texas, there is much reason for hope and the outlook for Democrats seeking office is looking better by the day. While Republicans have gained a great deal of power over the last six years, they have also proven to be irresponsible. Republicans have turned their backs on important reforms and bipartisan progress that was made over the last couple of decades.

That’s why the next two years are so important! We must get to work now to hold the Republicans accountable for their actions. The truth will ALWAYS elect Democrats. It’s our job to spread this truth!Democrats believe in Hope, Fairness and Equality.

The Republicans have abused their power, broken laws and looted the taxpayers in just a few short years. It is essential that Democrats not only fight back, but gain ground. Our children’s future is dependent on this fight.

Your active participation and commitment to outreach and organization are the keys to overcoming the big lies and bigger money of Republican campaigns. Neighbor to neighbor, neighborhood to neighborhood, and county to county we can spread our message of hope and expose the truth about the Republicans in power.

We are working everyday to rebuild a grassroots organization that can deliver our message to every community in Texas. In fact, your participation in this Grassroots Training Workshop and your involvement in organizing your community will help generate and support more aggressive leadership by Democratic officeholders.

We want to work with you and empower you to seek out more good people in your community to join us in the Democratic cause. With hard work and a belief in the core values of democracy, we will build a better future for our Party, state, and nation.
